A Girona-based cycling tour operator since 2014 — eighteen local guides, one workshop, and a fleet of bikes we actually ride ourselves.
We live at the bottom of the climbs
Girona Cycling Tours started in 2014 with two guides, six bikes and a garage on Carrer de la Rutlla. Today we are eighteen guides, a full workshop and a fleet of more than seventy road, gravel, mountain and electric bikes — but the rule has not changed: every route we sell is a route we ride on our own days off.
What that means for your ride
- Small groups. Eight riders per guide on the road, six on gravel and mountain bikes. Nobody rides alone and nobody gets dropped.
- Bikes that are ready. Every machine is serviced after every rental, tubeless sealant refreshed monthly and drivetrains replaced on a schedule, not on a complaint.
- Local knowledge. Which café opens at seven. Which descent is gritty after rain. Which village fiesta closes the road on the second Saturday of May. That is the part you cannot download.
- Honest grading. Our Difficulty labels mean something. If a ride is hard we say so, and we offer a shorter option instead of pretending.
Responsible riding
We ride in a protected landscape. Our gravel and MTB routes stay on legal, signed tracks, we carry out everything we carry in, and we contribute a share of every booking to the Gavarres trail maintenance fund. Our support vans are being replaced with electric models as the fleet renews.
Licences and cover
Girona Cycling Tours is a registered Catalan travel agency with full public liability insurance. All guides hold the Catalan mountain-guide qualification and a current wilderness first-aid certificate.
